i just bought board and installed it and got everything running, but i have noticed it is running bios version 1004. everything is running fine for me but i am wondering if it would be worth updating the bios to 1009 or just leave well enough alone. i know the old adage that if it isn't broke don't fix it but am curious to what others have to say and if it is worth the risk to flash to newer bios. TIA

since my a7v133 is still running fine w/ the 1005a BIOS... (as my LAN server)
i don't find any other reasons for flashing it to 1009 (xcept for more accurate temp reads)..

:D :) :p

hclarkjr,

The rule of thumb is not to flash a BIOS if everything is working properly for you. Everytime you flash, you run the risk of getting a bad flash.

Having said that I like to be running the latest BIOS too and I tend to flash quite a bit. I have only had one bad flash though.....

ok i know for sure that flashing it to 1008A of the 2nd version..i dont remember whats its called.... would b/c u get a little more functionality..and its as stable as anything else....

i am going to flash to 1009 and see if that does any difference..if not back to 1008A
