Need a Verizon Upgrade? Try a Spectrum.

I just got a LG Spectrum a few days ago and love it. Think wider, longer & flatter rezound. Similar to galaxy SII epic on other carriers.

I was going to get the GN but when it came out I was less than pleased with the specs the grey color and plasticy look/feel. And ICS was really not a oh wow as i had hoped.

Good:
4.5 huge screen
720p High ppi
great contrast and Rich colors.
IPS screen good from any angle and uses less power.
Netflix ap just works and the screen looks amazing!
battery so is not as bad as I would have thought.
Video looks and sounds great
8mp camera
High cool factor do to size and sharpness of screen. had several compliments.
Lighter and thinner than my OG droid
Gorilla glass front
$150 at upgrade price $100 cheaper than GN
Not noticeable in the pocket. Surprising but it is thinner and lighter than my old droid.
Bigger screen than Iphone. Sorry apple I have big hands. I cannot do that small screen.

Bad
Plasticy build quality but hell I put the glossy rubberized case on it anyhow so who cares.
no ICS but gingerbread is fine for now. Q1 upgrade?
LG bloatware (actually not as bad as I thought the CPU screams)
Netflix eats battery!
I do miss the droid keyboard but the 4.5" screen makes the keys not to small for typing.

Peace Out!

i think there are 2 good things about this phone really.

its cheap ($130 upgrade at amazonwireless) and the super IPS screen is basically the best screen on the planet on a phone. that said, everything else about it is probably worse than the other 2 lte 720p phones on verizon , rezound (the rezound i think most people agree has a better camera, a slightly sharper but super LCD screen, and htc sense is better than the LG skin plus ICS leaked roms are already out) and well the nexus. but those 2 things are quite good and the money savings is quite nice.

for upgraders its by far the cheapest "superphone" on vzw.

I just have to point out that one of those bag phones from the early 90's would have been thinner and lighter than your OG Droid. :awe:

I still use my OG Droid as a bedside alarm clock...I would love to have a new phone with that build quality. Thing is a tank.

Literally! I heard that France is going to be using it as a new prototype tank - not only can they not be killed as they run away, but they can use it to call and surrender!
