Ugh, porn on a big screen is straight up scary. I was at a sports bar that had a pretty rough scene going on a 60+ inch TV. I was about 3 feet away just walking by the tv when they showed an extreme closeup. I felt like I could just jump in and hibernate.

Actually, and honestly, haven't checked it out but I think I can do without the extreme closeups of some hairy guy's butt. 3-D gaming, OTOH, is intense. I guess the first time I saw someone playing a flight sim on a 32" Gateway monitor I thought... one day I want to do that. A friend of mine is bringing over his PS2 tomorrow, that should be interesting (I've read good things) but my taste in games runs more towards strategy. I haven't had my display too long, but its been fun so far.

I would recommend any Mistubishi TV. Or Sony Grand WEGA LCD rear projections. If you are in the midwest, go to a K's Merchandise. They have the cheapest prices.

Projectors are not good for everyday tv watching. Bulbs cost like $300 and will burn out in a month or two if you watch an average ammount of TV

3000 hour average bulb life on many high end projectors, 2000 on others.

1 month = 24 hours * 30 = 720 hours.

3000 hours / 30 days = 100 hours.

So, to burn it out in 1 month, on average, you'd need to watch one of those 100 hours per day. Take the lower hour 2000 hour bulb and 2 months. That's still more than 33 hours PER DAY. That's more than an average amount, IMHO.
