Need a tiny PC for the kitchen

I'm installing a computer in the kitchen. Need it to be as small as possible. I'm looking at the MiniMac as an option, but don't like the price. Does anyone have a suggestion on a better way to go? Would prefer an all-in-one (PC in the keyboard or monitor). However, most AIO are too expensive. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Indy

One disadvantage to a laptop is if you spill anything on a laptop keyboad you ruin the laptop. Having everything seperate is one advantage to a small form factor PC.

The Mac mini isn't the cheapest computer, but you'd be surprised at how expensive similarly-sized alternatives get. The Mac mini is also very quiet. You can get cheap, compact keyboards and mice if you don't want to use official Apple hardware.

One thing to consider, though: while it's not upgradeable beyond RAM and external devices, the base 17" iMac may potentially be a better deal - especially if you're in education or want to check the refurb store. The reduced price for either is usually $899.
