Need a source for server backup reviews, any leads?

Looking for various software for 3 pending server upgrades! Symantec 12d is questionable, at best, and the reviews of the latest acronis don't look that good either!


Anybody got some leads on server reviews? I've seen PCmag's latest and I don't think it's very comprehensive.

Everybody normally uses veritas.

We are not impressed with the latest build + reviews of backup exec 12. We're still on v10!

I've never seen any comparative reviews.

The choice, obviously, depends a lot on your needs. Do you need client PC backup, too? Do you want hardware-independent restore capability? Nowadays, I lean towards StorageCraft's ShadowProtect Server and Acronis' Echo Server.

How's your experience with echo server? I was browsing acronis forums yesterday and the reviews for the latest product are less than stellar. It's a shame too because I love my acronis true image! I hear TI11 though is buggy as shit



Need a BMBR solution, hardware independent would be preferred. Also need open file option.
