need a smooth face!!!

sounds wierd but i was told by her that my face is too rough and it hurts her face...i always use aftershave, and my beard grows at a normal pace but i'm wondering if there is anything that i can to smooth it out (i always thought my adidas aftershave did that)

any help older more experienced guys?

oh with adidas aftershave as the end ^_^ is it a bad brand? i got it cause it smelled nice and well...i didn't know anything else beyond adidas 😉

Well, if it's after you shave it may actually be your skin and not your hair. What you could try doing is exfoliating the day after you shave. What I personally do (mainly as skin maintenance) is exfoliate the morning after I shave. It can typically prevent that, and also leaves your skin looking more vibrant/healthy.

I have all my skin maintenance done at the skin dealership. I think we need a poll.

You shave really close or just give yourself the once-over? Once a razor is a few days old, I find I really need to mow my face like a crazed landscaper to get it smooth, probably 5-10 passes... And I'm not about to use 2 $mach3$ blades a week.

hahaah WHAT is it?

Google is your friend!

But I'll give you a rough run down.

There's two types of exfoliating which are commonly used.

Microdermabrasion and normal exfoliator.

I personally use microdermabrasion once every two weeks and exfoliate every other day. I use Nivea for Men exfoliating cream, it's basically a lotion with VERY small sharp beads in it. When you scrub them on your face it causes the dry skin to come off your face. You are supposed to wash your face thorouhly after exfoliating. Dry skin makes your skin look dull. Also, when you exfoliate your face it exfoliates the hair too, which amkes it softer.

Don't you find that irritates your skin? I shave every other day and have to replace my mach 3 every 2nd shave, otherwise the moisture strip wears thin and it mucks with my skin.

I guess I'm just being cheap, I'll generally go about 2-3 months between blades. Once the initial sharpness wears off (after 2-3 shaves), they're pretty much the same for the next 2 months or so anyway. Doesn't really irritate my skin, though I think anyone gets the occasional bout of razor burn.

really? how often should i be replacing the blade?

Are you not reading the replies to the thread?

I want to see if you guys are serious about replacing it every OTHER shave...do you know how much money that is? Maybe I should buy those disposable packs of 100 and throw them away after every use?

well i'll do more than one pass now, but i don't notice any increase by doing that when i'm bored anyways~

mmm thanks

and i've checked out ask men etc
and what are the brands of exfoliating lotion and whatnot that you guys reccomend? I have to shave once every two days else it grows too long (i hate beards...maybe i should buy that crap women use and do that) and becomes annoying.

and sorry for too much asking, but my dad just goes simple razor and thats all 😉

Anyways:
1) Shower 😛 duh i only shave after i shower
2) Use exfoliating lotion and let it soak in face for a few minutes and then rinse it off
3) Rinse and replace razors every once in a while (I'll do it once every month vs 3 months...but every other is just too often)

4)????

This is where I get confused~ I use Balm, or Aftershave? OR something totally different? What do you guys reccomend.
