Hello
My old D-Link DGL-4300 finally crapped out so I went to my local walmart and picked up a Netgear WNDR3700v3 N600 Dual Band router.
It seems to work ok but the range is crappy compared to my old D-Link.
Before I could take my laptop out to my garage which is about 50 feet from my house going through 2 walls but now I can barely get halfway out to my garage before the signal gets weak.
The only wireless device I use besides my laptop is my android phone and 2 old school Xboxs used to stream my DVD rips to a TV downstairs and to a TV upstairs using 2 rosewill wireless G DD-WRT based routers as client bridges which seems to work ok.
(Eventually I would like to upgrade to HD streaming)
I have 90 days to "test drive" this Netgear router, but in the meantime does anyone know of a better dual band gigabit router in the $100 range (in a store or from a internet shop like newegg) that they would recommend that has better speeds and longer range?
thanks
