My CPU normally runs at 59 degrees C but i saw it top 69 degrees right before my computer froze.

I need a suggestion for a new Heatsink/Fan/Thermal paste set.
Nothing overboard, i plan on building a new computer in a few months, but i want this one to continue working till then and beyond.

The CPU is an AMD Athlon XP 2700+
If anyone cares to know, the motherboard is an Epox EP-8RDA+

Also check your case airflow configuration...fans, bunched up cables, etc.

Also try to reseat the heatsink and changing to a better thermal paste. Might actually do the trick.

First thing, make sure everything is cleaned, no point in reseating the heatsink or buying a new one if all you need is to clear out some dust.
