Need a recommendation for those that have installed Windows XP Pro

Im currently running Windows 2k Pro on a 2.5 gig partition and am going to install Windows XP Pro as soon as I get some input. What do you recommend I set my boot partition? I was thinking 3.5 gigs since XP has more "bells and whistles" that eat more space. Thank you for your input.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I will install apps to a separate hard disk

3.5GB's if fine if you don't plan on installing alot of apps. I run dual boots w/ W2K and WinXP but install the same apps to the same directory for both OS. On my W2K partition(5GB--no games). WinXP takes about 1 GB to install but with future SP's 3.5GB is fine.

yikes, are you going to install a lot of programs on the same partition? i've already eaten through 3.22gb without any games

if you install office xp and the like you may want to up it a little
