not that you can ask for much, but since this does not have flash, it will take very poor indoor/night shots. i used to have a webcam/digicam from intel. it had really decent (actually quite nice pictures) during the day but grainy and blurred pictures at night. however if you just want a digicam to play around with, perhaps this is the thing for you. =)

i used to have this camera, quite a nice little gadget to throw in the bag on hiking trips. be aware that it takes only 24 or so pictures before needing to upload, the proprietary software to upload sucks, and what is probably a show-stopper for most of you folks - ONLY WORKS with WINDOWS 98! i don't care what the ad claims, i could never get it to work with Win2k etc.
hope this helps -

I don't know, I just sold my sony mavica fd71 which was 640x480 and the only reason I held on to it for so long was because of the features. Sony packs a lot into their cameras. I couldn't see wasting $20 on low resolution and no flash. Only thing this camera might be good for is eBay pics if you have a strong lighting setup to take the pictures. I did think about getting this for my kids though since it would be fun for them to take quick pics and play with them on the computer. Anyone have sample pics hosted? Cheers

I'd like to see sample pics too. I couldn't find any online. Anyone has them?

Sorry, I must warn others about the low ratings of these "Geeks":

6.25 out of 10 and dropping - A-Buh!

I have one, I paid about $95-$45 rebate, two and half years ago.

The color is often too orange, blue is usually darker; but any photo software can easily re-process. Picture quality is not bad at all, I had taken a few close shot (flowers), it does not get blur even as close as 2 inches; although 640x480, it is not high quality enough to print for 5"x3" standard.

It does not take rechargable batteries well, two 650ma batteries run out around 20 pictures.

A good toy.

Actually this isn't a bad deal at all. Would be good for posting ebay pics if that's all you'll use it for. A good toy for the kids as well.
