I posed the following question to someone:How do I create a shortcut on my Desktop which automatically saves any word documents I have just created to a floppy and contains a brief read me file explaining the purpose of the shortcut?
*************
His response was:
1.Click Start|Find|Files or Folders...
2.Type:
*.doc
in the Named: box
3.Make sure the drive selected in the Look in: box is drive C: (or whichever drive you want)
4.Click the Date tab
5.Click the Find all files created or modified radio button
6.Click the during the previous radio button (which should be preset to 1 day)
7.Click Options (up under the Title Bar) and make sure Save Results is not selected
8.Click File|Save Search
9.Click File|Close
You should now have a shortcut on your Windows Desktop named Files named @.txt.fnd. From now on, any time you click this shortcut (and then click the Find Now button), Find will search your C: drive for all *.DOC files created and/or modified today.
To test it, double-click your new Files named @.txt.fnd shortcut and then click the Find Now button
After it has found all the *.DOC files created today, press [Ctrl-A] to highlight all the filenames
Now right-click anywhere within the highlighted area, (which is usually blue), then select Send To|3-1/2 Floppy (A).
*****************
The only problem is the last part. When I right-click within the highlighted area there is no option of sending to floppy. Does anyone know what is missing and how I can correct it. I have already e-mailed this individual but have yet to have a response and hoping someone here can reply.
