Need a quick answer

I have this system:
ASUS A7V133 Motherboard
AMD TB 1,2 GHz
512 Mb PC133 RAM
20 gb MAXTOR HD

When i run the cpu at 9x133 windows locks up, usually with a beep. If i run 12x100 it doesn't. I run Windows ME, can it be because ME can't handle the speed ? Or is it not a software problem ?

sound like its a bios problem.

try loading default settings, then set up mobo for proper settings

Does your board have a jumper for selecting 100/133 FSB? If so make sure it's on 133 (or 266) otherwise your PCI bus will be way out of spec at 9x133.
