Need a program to disable a keyboard button

My gf spilled soup on her laptop, and her left ctrl key gets stuck on occasion. Which obviously creates a serious problem.

How can I disable the key so its no longer a problem?

clean the keyboard.

Id much rather just disable the damn key then take apart a laptop. Besides, shes not here right now, and she needs to use the computer now.

You know, Id probably say the same thing to you, but it really, really was my GF. Id clean the keyboard if it was a simple matter, but I havent the slightest idea on how to remove a laptop keyboard. And I dont want to pry open a laptop that isnt mine. Im sure this program cant be too complicated, so if anyone has any ideas...

get screwdriver, pop off that key.

if it doesnt go back on, no prob, that key was broken anyway

Is it a MS Keyboard? Even if it aint, DL the MS Keyboard software, and you can disable keys with that.

MS keyboard software didnt work. Removing the key also didnt work, it still bugs. Any ideas?

Try removing the metal "spring" thing thats under most keys that arnt letters. That`ll stop it from sticking, i think.
