Putting together a new system lets assume i have never overclocked anything but might be interested so far i have a 1gig T-bird Abit KT7-Raid Mobo 128Mb of ram and a 30gig WD HD i want a good power supply and maybe some advice on wattage??

Enermax seems to be one of the favorites on Anandtech. Other good p/s are Antec, Sparkle, Enlight. I would reccomend at least a 300w. That should handle every thing you throw at it. Unless ofcourse you have 3 CD-Rom drives, five 15,000rpm SCSI drives, and dual CPUs.

Go for 300W.

Myself and several people I know have Sparkle and never had any problems.
