Need a permanent carpet stain.

I've got an apartment with light grey carpets. There is one spot where the previous owner had bleached the carpet to an off-white color. There is another (large) spot where there was a cat accident that I cannot get the yellow out. In fact the harder I work at it the more yellow it gets. What is a good way to permanently stain these light grey? I know graphite works well at getting a grey color into the carpet, but will it hold up to a professional carpet cleaning? Any other ideas?

Charcoal would blend in to the color you want, but a pro cleaning would make it lighter. You could try dye,but that carpet sounds cobohsayed.

What exactly is cobohsayed? Where would I get a good dye that will work on carpet?
New carpet.
I'm hoping to avoid this if possible. (1) I'd rather not see these ugly stains before I move, and no point in getting the carpet now and then potentially staining it again. (2) Cannot afford it. (3) Why should I pay for the stains left by the previous renter - of course I should pay for my stains. Just trying to get by if possible without replacing the whole thing.
