If possible can you sector them into price ranges?

$300-800

$900-5000

$6000-$10000

I was looking at that swiss army watch when I was in Switzerland, had to get a swiss watch, didn't go with that model went with the chrono...but they are good sturdy watches. I hate gucci designs....

Is mine

I went over (to switzerland) with ideas of grandure...Rolex, Cartier etc...but of course those start at about 2 grand, however there are some beauties to be had from Tag Huer or Tissot from about $500-$1500, but in the end decided to save money come home and upgrade my computer... :)

I first saw the watch in my E-Gear magazine that came in today. They say the retail is $2499, and I confirmed it with a few sites. That watch is simply beautiful. If I had the cash, I'd definitely get that.

<< Citizen:
Eco-Drive, never needs a battery
Titanium, won't corrode as easily

Swiss Army:
Made in Switzerland
Cheaper

I think you have your answer right there. Citizen all the way...

Swiss Army are overrated.

I want this one. :D

edit

I'm not up on prices very much, but I'll give it a shot.

Some entry level watches from good brands start at ~100, those are ok, they are mostly very plain.

Decent watches would go 300-800

My preference would be the seiko chronographs. Other good brands to look for: bulova, citizen, movado, and tag heuer. There are other good watches in that range, but these brands would give you the most consistency across all models. Watches I don't like are fossil, gucci, and swiss army, and the gimmicky watches.

If you go 800 - 2000 I'd go with omega. Omega is just awesome, probably the best watch company. They tend to be pricey though.

if you go into a couple of g's you get a myriad of good watches. hey if you pay that much for a watch it'll be an excellent timepiece.
rolex, cartier, corum, girard perregaux, patek philippe, breitling, IWC, piaget, chronoswiss, blancpain would gaurantee you're getting a kick ass watch, and not just an expensive ticking bracelet. There are others on this list, but I can't think of them right now, it's 4 am

whoo, finally found a pic of my watch. I have this watch linky
only with a white face and blue slide rule around the outside. Had it for 6 years now. Been banged and dropped numerous times, even got slammed in a car door once (saved my wrist :) ) still keeps perfect time. Tested to not lose a 10th of a second in a year. Needs a new crystal it's all scratched up with a couple big dents, but when i tried to order one from seiko, it costs $150 :Q I'll pass, I got the watch for $120! the retail was ~600 though.

Jeeeeeez what a tough decision. Almost neck and neck in the poll, and on one hand people are saying the Swiss Army looks better, but the Citizen is manufactured with better quality!
