Need a new RTS, Rome:Total war or LoTR Battle for middle earth

Which one should I choose. I mainly like the age of type of games. Never played the total war series, but this game gets awesome reviews. I also like the LoTR and that game gets decent reviews.

Hopefully it won't hurt my poll too much, but I just thought to add the new Axis and allies RTS to the poll.
 
i saw some vids of lotr and it looked awesome. rome has a lot of depth though in that there is a diplomacy and city-building side of the game iirc. lotr is all rts only.

have you looked into warhammer 40,000: dawn of war? it got decent reviews too but is mostly for multiplayer as the singler player campaign features only 1 of the factions and is short.

Yeah I had considered WOW, but not sure if I would like that type of RTS. LIke I said, I mainly like the Age of type of games. I can't wait for AoE3, and would love to see a sequel to age of myhtology.
