1st you want to look at its VERTICAL dot pitch not its horizontal. If only the horizontal dot pitch is there (example: .24mm) add .03mm (.27mm) to get the vertical dot pitch. It is this vertical dot pitch that is the most important. Also, what's the maximum resolution each monitor supports and at what refresh rate? Also, look at the warranty. Which CRT has a better warranty. Are they Invar Shadow mask or Aperture Grille (which gives a brighter overall image)? Can anyone else add to this? Thanks.:)

metalfan I have a Viewsonic G90FB en-route my house as I type. I looked at the Samsung line-up which I'm normally a fan of, but the Viewsonic looks to be the better deal.

@screwface:
ive read test about these screens, to be on the safe side with the tec details.
warranty is 3 years. i will probably get a tft before i lose the warranty.

im more interested in the space/weight :)

@HighCalibreHooch:
already own one 17" viewsonic, i can see a black line running from top to buttom on the right side :(
