I wonder if a Craftsman mower has a lifetime warranty like their tools? They have a 6.75 rear bagger for $399 reg $479.

No craftsman mowers don't have a lifetime warranty. I used to work as a small engine tech for sears repair when I was in HS. Take a word of advice, but a craftsman. Yes, there may be other 'niicer' mowers out thier but they all breakdown at just about the same rate. (Because most use B&S or tecumseh engines). When you go with a craftsman, the parts are cheaper and you will always be able to get them.

Actually that's what I did. I split the difference between Honda and Craftsman and got a Craftsman with a Honda engine. It's been great so far and I anticipate it lasting a long time. It's got single point height adjustment, the brake blade clutch, rear wheel drive, etc. Love it.Originally posted by: Howard

We've had several Toros over the years (not the cheap ones you get at Home Depot, but the SuperRecycler series) and the decks and non-engine parts held up really well. But the engines would eventually die out on us. Then again, I used to use the mowers to do a LOT of mowing work when I was growing up so they probably got 5-6 times the usage of most normal mowers.
