Just get a regular keyboard. Although the z-board seems nice, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Usually comes down to personal preference... I myself prefer the Microsoft Natural Multimedia keyboard and the Logitech MX mice family. If Logitech made a corded stand-alone split keyboard I would probably be all over it since I like the feeling of Logitech keyboards but prefer the ergonomics of a split keyboard. But I may take the plunge get a Logitech Elite keyboard next time around. I've owned a MX500 and currently am using a MX310. When I take the said plunge, and get around to building a new machine, I'll pickup a MX510 for sure... the MX310 is nice but I liked the MX500 more overall and with that in mind the MX510 is a logical choice.

I've got a Belkin Nostromo n52 Speedpad that is like a small keyboard that you just use for gaming (it sits to the left of my regular keyboard on my desk). Tons of buttons and controls that are easy to access and all the buttons are programmable. On the bad side the keys are tough to press and 2 of the buttons are hard to reach (thumb buttons).

keyboard: almost everything...i was happy with my old logitech (forgot the name, but with 'ultra flat' or something like that..) - R.i.P.

now i have that black M$ wireless elite desktop keyboard ....... well - it's okay.....but i think i'm going to change back to a non-wirless modell (think again, logitech).

mouse: go and get a logitech mx510 , super mouse - very sensitive, and good for gaming. i bought this mouse, and was happy from the start. i really would suggest this one.

cheers.
