Need a new heatsink/fan to keep peace in family!

I'm running a 1.4 Tbird @ 1533 w/swiftech mc370 & a DELTA FAN...hehe.
I'm getting complaints from the family & need something quiet that will keep this thing cool.
Recommendations from similar owners of what i'm using, please?

if its not overclocked then your options are huge

but if i was in your position i would just leave the heatsink on there and get a replacement fan (something with less db and less cfm)

This is a good cooler/noise solution from Delta.If this Sunon 80mm Whisper fits your heatsink it's very quite and should work well being an 80mm.

My hsf combo is keeping the Tbird around 40c. I'm hoping I can just replace the fan, but I don't know if it needs to run any hotter or not.
Am I gonna hafta break down & get a new combo??

that temp is plenty low, you could easily go up another 10 degrees with no problem

What type of adapter will I need if I decide to put a quiet 80mm fan on there & where would I get it at?
