I'll confess I already own the MSI and am happy with it. It died though and I cannot be down for the weeks it will take to RMA. Regardless of which I buy, I plan on selling the RMA once I get it back (with full disclosure of course) to recover part of whatever I will spend.

Choice #1 - $115 after rebate:
eVGA 256-P2-N549 Geforce 7600GS 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail

Choice #2 - $80 after Rebate
MSI RX800-TD128E Radeon X800 128MB DDR PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814127176

I do a lot of office type work, some video/photo editing and play WoW. Like I said I've been happy with the MSI but want to see if anything else is out there.

Soooooo ... Which do you prefer? Any reason to buy one over the oter? Are there any better out there in the $100 price range that I am missing?

Thanks!

EDIT - the rig linked below

the 7600GS, its a 256mb card, I wouldn't want to own a 128mb card nowadays like that X800 you listed is.

7600GS. if you want to spend less money, a 6600GT owns if you can find a good deal on it.

7600gs ftw. really get a shader model 4 card. plus its cheap too and can be used passive cooling so you know it'll OC quite well.
