OK, why don't we all just man up and start using an actuated hammer for the job :awe:

Any tool that uses bullets that you have to hit with a hammer is tops in my book.

By far the most awesome tool I've ever used!

lol, every time I have ever used one of these, the cops have shown up.

Get the Paslode, you won't regret spending the extra bucks!
After dragging around compressors & hoses for years, I borrowed a Paslode onc day. Liked it so well I bought my own that afternoon after work!

I have a Finish Nailer and a Framing Nailer, no way would I ever consider going back to pneumatic!
If either of mine ever die, I will replace it.
(Check Craigslist, always some good deals on used around here!)

I would really like to try these, but I have I don't know how much money sunk in air tools.

Thanks guys,

Looks like I have a lot of options still.

This looks like a helluva deal. Is that A/C enough to run, say, impact wrenches, etc?

It's a terrific set, the only problem is it doesn't come with a a real nail gun.

The compressor is not meant to run air tools which are constantly on, but I do use it to change my brakes, rotate the tires.

That looks like fun, does it actually use a gun bullet? I think I heard of these but never saw one.

If you need to stop by the gun shop after your home depot run, you're doing it right.

Oh ok you don't actually go buy a 22 bullet or w/e and put it in, but need special cartridges designed for it? I guess it makes sense, or you'd have the bullet flying out too. The nail is basically the bullet in this case.

You got it. IIRC they look like really short cartriges that are crimped at the end instead of the bullet sticking out.

That's what I used it for in my basement :p

Were you scared to death to use it the first time? I remember thinking "I'm going to load a bullet into this thing, I'm going to pound it with a hammer, and it's going to shoot a 3" nail into solid concrete...I am SO going to the hospital today."

I watched a couple guys use a .38 cal. ramset to nail a one by four on to the bottom a steel I-beam. Nails went right through the I-beam and then curled a little after they came out of like 3/8" of steel.
