One that allows me to cut .wav files and whatnot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well it really depends on how complicated you want to get and what features you need (echo, reverb, etc...).

There aer tonnes of Audio Editing software packages available (just look), CoolEdit has lots of nice basic functionality and is generally pretty easy to find.

Hmmn, I don't know of any free ones, but CoolEdit2000 is pretty good as a basic single track music editor. If you require multi-track ability then you'd have to get CoolEdit Pro

AS already stated cool edit pro and 2000 do a good job and gets my vote. Alittle pricey with the added plugins but can be found for free if you look in the right places.

Must agree Cool Edit Pro is the way to go. As far a making music I kinda like the Acid DJ series. Lets you change bpm easy and does a pretty good job.
