I have an open thread in the video section as I'm having problems with games on this system. I can't run any 3D apps or tests on my current motherboard as they just crash the system. So, I need a new Micro Atx board.

It needs to house a eVGA 6600GT, 1Gb Mushkin Value DDR, and freakin play games. I can't seem to fin a review on either of these boards. Anyone have one of these?

I found the thread you started there, and I don't think it's a mobo problem, but a temp like was suggested by DAPUNISHER.

You also mention performance issues; make sure you re-install the OS after replacing the ATI card with an nVidia one.

It is a fresh OS load...and when I run any system diagnostics the system not only scores really low, but locks up half the time. I had the same gear on an Asus A7n8X-lx (hp oem board from asus) and everything worked fine...till the sound went out. That's what started this project. I wanted to OC the system a little and look for some more fps.

I think this board doesn't like the memory, and the sound is trash...lots of static in the background. Only have a couple of days left to RMA it back to Newegg and ask for a refund...so now I have a decision to make and very little money to do it with. I also had the 6600GT in my other system to check it out and it worked fine, but this is a smaller case and I might have nudged the HS. I just don't think it's a video card problem any more.

Just ran the SiSoft Sandra and the memory is about 75% of the reference, and under 3D future mark the system locked up at frame 220 or so.

looks as though it's not the motherboard...just doesn't like my memory. Installed some crucial pc2700 and it fixed the bandwidth issues...now it's just down to a bad video card.
