Need a long range keyboard/mouse combo

I just finished my HTPC and wanted to browse the web on the TV for shows etc. and my MS 6000 series combo barely gets 10 feet of reception, and when it does, it's pretty bad. Does anyone make something that can go at least 15 feet and has great response? Or, am I dreaming?

I don't have any specific examples, but if you can find a bluetooth device that is Class 1 or 2, then in *theory* it should work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth#Bluetooth_2.0

Of course if you have lots of other equipment in your house that is using the 2.4GHz ISM band, then there might be enough EM background that your range on a class 2 device could be cut short of the ~10 meter estimate, though a Class 1 device would have a much better chance.

Take a good look at the Ligitech VX5500 Revolution, Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo.

Shop around for it if you like it. It will handle your 15 feet.

I use the apple wireless bt keyboard and an old logitech rf mouse. The keyboard works from as far as 30 feet away, through an exterior door to the mudroom.

I'd say it's 13" wide. Great battery life. Keyboard is simple and nice to type on. Favorite part is that it is likely less than 1/3 of the size of the logitech wireless keyboard it replaced. I just wish they'd put a trackpad on the bottom and accellerometer on it to disable whatever was facing down.
