Hi all,

Working on a friend's computer and he has a Pcchips M920LR
motherboard in it.

I've got all the drivers loaded in Windows 98SE but one device shows
that drivers aren't loaded and it's called a "Network Controller".

I've got the driver loaded for the onboard ethernet and it appears
to be working okay.

Any ideas as to what this "network controller" is and where to get
drivers? I've looked all over Pcchip's site but didn't see anything there.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

What else is there that could classify as a network controller? FireWire onboard or on card? DSL modem?

Well from what I can tell I've got all the drivers from pcchips
(I really hate their boards) and there are no other cards on
the board but device manager says "pci network controller".

Nothing but an agp video card and modem in the card slots
and they show for the drivers to be installed with no problems.
The board has onboard lan and audio and both those items
show to be installed also.

Weird deal!

What location does Device Manager say it is on? (edit: Duh, Windows 98 won't tell you that. Use some sort of PCI report tool, e.g. in Sandra, and quote the list of PCI entities here.)

Besides, you should fetch the latest drivers for everything from the respective chip makers, never from the mainboard manufacturer.
