Need a little help..."Error loading operating system"

So I just installed an Intel 330 drive for my main rig and put the V100 in my HTPC rig. I used the Intel link to the Acronis cloning app.

No problem with my main rig or the HTPC. But when I removed the drive from my Dell 640m, and cloned the disk to my Intel 320 120GB, when I put it back in the laptop after the post I get "Error loading OS."

After doing a little search I found that usually means the BIOS isn't configured correctly for the drive installed. I searched around in the very simple 640m BIOS and there are absolutely no hard drive configuration settings I can find.

I'm out of ideas and was thinking someone here might be able to come up with something else to try. I'm running the A10 BIOS on the Dell which I think is the most current.
 
So after searching around a bit and not finding a solution I gave up on the cloning method to get my Intel 320 SSD working in my Dell 640m laptop and just tried a normal install booting first from the DVD drive and then formatting the SSD. It worked.

Just for reference, and I don't know for sure if it's relevant to your case or specifically the SSD -- Acronis has this feature which either duplicates the disk signature or allows you to have it assign a different one to a clone.

If you duplicate the signature, you need to be very careful to shut down the system directly and remove the source drive before starting up and rebooting again. Otherwise, it is possible that the target disk will generate an "unable to read OS" message (or similar).

That error can be fixed by running Windows install "Repair" -- I can vouch for it. But this could explain the problem you had, without seeing additional details of your step-by-step cloning process.
 
First time I cloned I might have pulled the disk while the laptop was in the sleep mode. I thought that might be a problem so I did it again making sure to shut down windows before cloning. Still didn't work. I didn't see any "signature" option but then again I was using the stripped down Intel free version of the Acronis software.

Thanks for the advice though, might come in handy next time...
