Can anyone here help me (or direct me) how i can get my logo selected from the background? Using all the techniques i know how to use, results in me either loosing part of the logo or some other undesired effect...

The problem is that the background is too close in color to the image, so the selections never come out alright...

The reason is that i want to be able to change the background of the image (and my original .psd file with layers is LONG gone)

LINK to logo...

You can see it encorporated in a small logo at aphexsystems.com, im in the process of retooling it.

Made the logo about a year ago, the colors came out that way on accident. :)

Makes it too broad then....

Drawa path around it,then make a selection from the path. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes

do you have illustrator or anything that can handle eps files? I can send ya the original biohazard symbol, then you can retool it in PS to look the same as the old one. I'll even help ya with that if you want. :)

Use the pen tool and the little arrow looking thing above it. They're there for a reason, and now you get to figure out what it is.

Here's a hint: with the pen tool, make a point on each corner of an object. (for each of the branches, you only need 5 points)

After you have your 5 points, select the convert anchor point tool from the dropdown menu under the pen tool. click and drag on one of your points. Notice the handles. Drag them around with the convert anchor point tool. Notice what they do to the line? Good, I think you can take it from there...

Created a 3d model in max that looks somewhat decent in 10 minutes... Another 15 and it'd look pretty schweet :)
