It renewed good friends of all!

I think rabotayushch for CIA it must be very glamorous work. You cannot make that much, but view on the automobiles, expensive which they obtain, both the computers and the telephones of cell also.

Films I think they represent it exaggerated in the the kinoikh, but still, a certain truth there must be and to be spy it must be very intensive and dramatically. If you have a number for CIA therefore, then I can present my cv, I would be which very happy. I know that my English it is not is not very good, but I will be very critical and sneaky by persona - they like that I think.

Thanks are still for any aid! I love the posting place, motionlessly, approved!

Good friends, all!

I just graduated with a Poli Sci degree with several IR classes taken. I have a strong desire to be part of the foreign service sector however my resources are very limited. I have no in's or contacts at the CIA and I applied twice online for a entry level position. Of course like many of you have said they contact you; applying is a flat out joke.

Alas, I am in an entry level IT position making crap money, and I think hey I could still make crap at the CIA but at least do something interesting.

You probably wouldn't make it through anyways. In upwards of 50% of the people who take the polygraph fail it.

If true, it just further confirms my belief that polys are a worthless waste of time. At least the across-the-board "fishing expedition" type of polys.

And yes, I've taken and passed them.

Thanks ... interesting quotes from the former CIA directors. It's junk science - I've read some of the literature, and the false alarm/false negative rates and lack of repeatability between examiners makes me really nervous about the fact that my continued employment is at the mercy of this sham.

The only thing the policy *may* have going for it is the possibility that it scares people straight ... ie. people who might engage in espionage may think twice out of fear of getting caught by a poly. Yet the perpetrators of many of the big spy cases weren't caught by routine polygraphs. I've never heard of any who have been.

Yep I agree. I want to work in government, and had gone pretty far into the FBI process, but when I heard about the ridiculous failure rate for the poly, I didn't want to roll the dice and risk having a black mark on my file. If you fail an FBI poly it's going to be extremely hard to find a government job anywhere, since a lot of places ask if you failed a polygraph. There's a reason why polygraphs were barred from usage in the private sector.

BTW, I agree with you, and never was a big Tom Hanks fan. Castaway rocked though.
