Well, the taxpayers just give the government money through taxes to pay for the system. The government foots the bill. However, look at waiting lists in Europe and Canada. That alone is something that really irks many opponents.

Waiting list for what? and what do you mean by opponents? This socialized healthcare is for the U.S. right? Or who is trying to implement it?

Canada and many European countries already have it...it's amazing that we don't yet. There are waiting lists for surgeries and the like, due to high demand. There are many people against socialized health care, because they are cheap and don't care about the less fortunate.

...they just don't want higher taxes.
