Need a good processor, help

I have a GA-8IK1100 mobo and need a good processor for it. Wanting a 3.4 but no need to be greedy. Something HT with 800 FSB. I see the Northwood but what else has been tested or will be good?
 
Depends on the board revision. I would still recomend a northwood anyway, but if you have a revision 2 board, you can also use prescotts, revision 1 boards do not support prescotts. Great board by the way, I'm about to rebuild a computer with that board and my 3.06ghz northwood, mines revision 1, so I couldn't use my prescott on it.
 
It is a revision 1, I was hoping that i would have had more options, don't get me wrong Northwood is wroong, just seeing what else. What are you putting in yours. The highest it can handle is a 3.4 right?
