Need a good pair of earbuds!!

I just purchased an x50v for my PDA and Music use 🙂 I need a pair of earbuds that I can use at work while I listen to music. Looking for some with good base and solid mid/highs. Any suggestions?

Does it matter if you're so so def on the job? You need to decide if you need the "plug" type or the "non-plug" type of buds. The latter generally don't produce very good sound quality.

Yeah i didn't give that much thought till I started looking at them. I need non-plug type cause I need to be able to hear co-workers or my phone. I know they don't produce good sound quality, but I know I'm better off finding a decent pair than picking up some 5-10$ crap from best buy 🙂 Also I'll be using them outside work.

I was just looking at mx 550

IMO you shouldn't wear headphones in an office environment. If you really want to, your best bet would be some grados, but they're not buds. You'd have to leave them at low volume, and you'd probably be able to hear your co-workers ask you for stuff (for the most part).

Seriously tho, just listen to the radio with everyone else. It'll drive everyone nuts trying to get your attention. Buy a nice pair of headphones for working out or your commute. Just my two cents.

The sens you linked to are probably alright. The best non-plug buds I've heard are my ipod ones, followed by a $15 pair of Panasonic Wal-Mart ones. The $2 buds at Wal Mart put in a surprisingly good showing in comparison. 🙂

i coiled mine up and it sits right on top of my mp3 player, never bothers me

You guys seem to be forgetting that the OP is looking for "non plug" earbuds. Just by the way, I briefly listened to some 71's and they sounded worse than my ipod buds. They didn't have a snug fit for me though, so that might explain it.

yeah, if they dont have the right size thing on it and dont get a tight seal in your ear they lose all bass and sound like crap

I really like the Sony EX71s. They have really good sound, and excellent bass, but only if you choose the right size earplugs out of the 3 sizes they come with. The cord is long, but I like that, the MP3 player can be in my pocket and there's still enough cord.

You do need to get them jammed into your ear pretty well to get the good sound. When the sound appears to be coming from inside your head, they're positioned correctly 🙂
