need a gaming mouse

im in a tight budget
im thinkin of the logitech mx 518
o btw budget is about 2000 inr
plz tell me if theres a better mouse than the above 1
10x in advance

when i wanted a cheap decent quality mouse (i broke my logitech MX revolution), i went with a microsoft sidewinder X5.

it works well enough for me. i miss the thumb wheel, but the selectable DPI settings is quite nice for graphics work.

I have the MX 518 and absolutely no complaints about this mouse.

If it fits your budget, go get it, you won't regret it at all!

I've been really happy with my G5... It's a laser though as far as I can remember. Why is optical better than laser?

(I game with it regularly)

id say unless you buy it used for good price get a G9.. i have one on each pc even ones i dont game on.. some where 60 new some where 40 (damn price drop hehe) love the mouse and have gave away all my mx518/mx510's they where ok but not comparable.

Me neither, except I just like the newer G9 a whole lot better. It simply feels better, love the on-the-fly sensitivity change. Not sure if optical is still better than laser, G9 certainly doesn't feel any worse than mx518 if not better.

logitech doesn't update drivers.
older lower end mice have pretty bare driver options/features.
don't buy old mice unless you want that kind of barebones.
i use the g9

I have had a Logitech MX laser mouse that is recharchable for about 5 years. The only thing I don't like is it last so long I always forget it does need to be charged sometimes.
