My laptop downloaded the MS update and now the f'ing thing won't load - "missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe. Please reinstall from..."
Problem is, my laptop has no floppy drive, and I have no bootable CD. I left my Win XP disk at my apartment in NY, and therefore cannot make the bootable CD (setup files required) on my other computer. I thought of making a bootable CD with just a dos boot image and ntoskrnl.exe taken from my brother's laptop (also without floppy), but the computer with the CD-writer has no floppy. ARGH!!!!!!
