Well in an ideal world you would completely reinstall Windows but if you can't Google for Driver Cleaner.
just switched out mobos and all is going well. i would like to run a driver cleaner to get rid of all the old stuff.

Why? Those drivers aren't doing anything besides taking up some disk space.
also registry entries too, should have mentioned that in the original thread...
how about Driver cleaner?

So? Do you really think having a few extra registry keys around is causing you problems?
i just like to have things cleaned up as much as possible.
im actually surprised your OS still worked after a mobo switch. I normally get lock ups and blue screens and always recommend doing a complete reinstall.

But things you can't even see and that have no appreciable effects?
i know they are there and they don't need to be there
this time it was very easy, i just put the scsi card and hdd in the new machine and away it went, in the past i have had issues with bsods and also times when i have used sysrep and that didn't work. this was no sysrep or anything, luckilyim actually surprised your OS still worked after a mobo switch. Worst case a repair install should fix that, but supposedly you can have a pretty easy transition if you use sysprep before hand.
