This is a tough one, for sure. I, too, would like the answer to that so I'll be watching your thread very closely in the next few days.:)

Since XP/2k/NT4 really lacks the DOS 16 bit environment, you are very limited. You should just pick up an old 486 DX2 or a Pentium 66 on ebay if you want that type of environment. You can try VMWARE, but it still is going to emulate a PC
which runs the same Speed as your PC. If you don't wanna spend the money, try bochs (free emulator) but it isn't that good of one.

What games do you play? If your problem is with games that run too fast on a modern PC to play, then I too would be interested to know of an emulator that will turn your PC into a 66Mhz equivalent.

Old DOS games like Duke Nukem 3D and Doom should run perfectly fine in XP running on a modern PC. Actually, I recentally fired up some Duke3d on my 1.2Ghz WinXP box.

This should work.

It allows for some type of adjustment to the emulated CPU speed.

Unfortunately, this software is commercial - but there is a free trial in the site.

Good luck!
