Need a Com Port bracket for a MB that only has the header

I need a Com Port bracket for a Foxconn MB that only has a header pin in the MB for the port.

Any idea who would have this? I don't think it is Foxconn specific since the bracket portion would be universal.

I have looked at Newegg & ZipZoom Fly (where I got the MB) and nothing.

Any real computer store should be able to scavenge one of these off an old computer for you.

Actually, I should of called it a "Serial" port bracket, not "Com" port as the MB manufacture called it.
I found out there are two different pin-outs. One is straight (pin 1-9 goes to pins 1-9) and the other is some type of xover (pins 2-9 are are all going to different pins).

Which pin-out do you need?

Serial port slot brackets were very common 'back in the day'. I've got a few lying around here somewhere. I imagine a little thought must be given to config because the 'old style' has jumpers to set your IRQ - might create a conflict with modern BIOS, OS, etc. . ...

This would definitely be Plug-n-Pray ... 😀

I was at Fry's in San Diego Monday night and saw they had a handful of COM ports to hook directly to the motherboard in stock.

I was looking for PS/2 ports for motherboards that are USB only.
Is it possible to add them? Maybe with a USB->PS/2 interface for keyboard.
I only need one as the mouse is USB.

There are USB to PS/2 dongles that do what you are asking. All adapters are not
created equal. I bought a generic one at a local computer shop that did not work
reliably. I found one at Radio Shack that did the trick. They are not hard to find
and places like Best Buy also usually carry them.
