Need a cheap win XP modem

Hey guys...

any suggestions for a cheap Xp-supported modems?

My modem odesnt work on XP so I had to uninstall it and go back to win98. The manufacturer did not release updated drivers too so I need to find a cheap modem that runs on xp...

any suggestion?

Go to Best Buy and get the Diamond Supramax modem. XP supported and always been real fast for me (for a dial-up modem that is). There is a rebate on the box that makes this modem $15 I think.
 
I have the free-after-rebate PCTel Winmodem (I got it from Staples on XP Thursday, but I believe it is free-after-rebate from CompUSA on day-after-thanksgiving). It comes with Win2K drivers and works on XP. Note I mostly use it as a fax, so I cannot vouch for its quality as a dialup modem, but it works. I have indeed heard that others have had problems, but My Mileage Is Excellent.
