Need A Cheap Computer

Just need something for my father, basically he just want to use the internet. Already have the monitor, just need the rest...should I find him a dell, a used one off ebay, or build him one? What can I buy or build for less than $200?

You can find parts from the FS/FT forum and build a pretty decent system.

though often the deals are better in the FS/FT Forum ....

sometimes craigslist.org is a good place to buy.

I found a great PIII 600 system with 256MB of RAM from Craigslist for $30. Threw Linux on it and have been using it as a browsing machine in the living room. Double bonus is that slow computers are MUCH easier to cool, so obviously, quieter.
