I know what to look for in a chair, the problem is that I don't live any where near a place where I can actually look at good chairs.

any suggestions?

We need pics of your wife... preferably topless so we can determine the best chair for her feeding style.

I bought one of those glider rockers of Amazon worked great till I didn't need it anymore. Not the greatest of quality but it was cheap while we were in the nursing phase.

keep the chair, get a new wife

try getting her a chair cushion for leg and butt support and a pillow for lumbar support

A rocking chair is the traditional remedy for that - but it has to be exactly right for her, there are lots of different types of rockers.

The glider rocker examples here is another thing to try. Be sure to get a nursing stool to go with it - have her try one out and see if it's for her. The leg angle really makes a difference.

There is a series of exercises for back pain like this that really works. Highly recommended, talk to her MD if you're concerned. I got these from my midwife a zillion years ago.

Best to you, wife, and baby.

Thank you both, I almost bought a $130 glider/foot-rest set last night at wal-mart. I'm glad i didn't.
