Is there such a thing?? Every adapter I find needs drivers for Win 98 (XP and ME are usually fine). I need to be able to take my digicam on the road and not have to worry about installing drivers in every computer just to get my pics off my camera (s230).

Maybe another option would be a pcmcia -> USB adapter? I have never seen a small one so I don't know if there is such a thing.

Please help:)

Theses devices are recognized as hard drives by the OS and it happens that Windows 98 does not have complete support for plug-and-play external drives. AFAIK every usb disk you will install in 98 will need drivers,

That sucks. So is there anyway I can have something work like my cf -> pcmcia adapter? That is instantly recognized as a removable device by Win 98....Is there anyway to convert that to USB? Is my only solution to carry the adapter and a floppy with the drivers?

Like USB Flash drives....only ME, XP and 2000 will be driverless....98/98SE will require driver CD.
