i need like a 3rd party app to limit the users on my computer, my dumb roomates keep installing adware and shit


btw anyone know when pcstats forums are gonna be back up?

Do they have user accounts or admin/power user? Make sure they have user, or no accounts. Shouldn't be able to install anything then.

Yeah, just create a separate user account, make sure it's a limited user account (not an admin). Password protect the main (Admin) account.

Then, if you want to limit the user further, use the Local Group Policy editor (start, run, gpedit.msc).

Truth be told, even you should not be using your Admin account as your primary user account. Create a user account for yourself as well. Just use the Admin for things an admin is required for, if you can.

Try Folder Guard and related programs. My school uses a really good locking program, and its main file server is very well protected. But I haven't had a need for such lockdown programs since I don't need to lock myself out of my computer:D.
