This is what I have

Radeon X1950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16

Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe 2.33GHz

OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

ABIT IL9 Pro LGA 775 Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU ATX 12V 2.0 500W Power Supply

Plus an IDE DVD/R/RW drive and a SATA Seagate 120GB drive (not the 3GB/S model). I originally bought a Abit IL9 Pro but overlooked the max FSB for the motherboard. It is 1066mhz, I need 1333mhz. I have $100 to spend, any suggestions? I won't be overclocking or tweaking anything but want a reliable board that will last more than a couple years.

I like my ASUS 650i board, but it is a real "quirky" board requiring a lot of "trial and error" settings to get everything working properly.

How about P35 boards - everyone seems to be real happy with them:

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - $91.99 + $5.84SH
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813128059

230 Newegg reviews, 5 egg rating

I don't see any of them for less than $100 shipped.

Looks like a nice board, I'll take a look at it. Thanks!

Thanks. Anyone see any compatibility issues before I dump more money into this board? Just a final check.

Just make sure you are aware that the DS3L only has ONE 16x PCIE slot.

And no 8X or 4X slots for any third-party RAID or Killer Nic or PhysX add-ons at later dates.

If this doesn't conflict with your future upgrade plans then you are good to go.

I only need one slot for my video and thats about it. I'm not a super power user and probably would never use a 8x or 4x slot.

The DS3L will suit you just fine, as long as you don't care about onboard RAID or firewire. I have one and it's running rock solid for me.
