well, i'm out of town right now...

i connected my hard drive via external enclosure.. it has windows xp. i try to go to my user folder(documents and settings/name) and it says access denied... how do i bypass this? btw i dont have adminstrator rights at this office so yeah..

The way i was able to do it (switched comps and wanted user files) was to use the backup utility and tell it not to save the encryptions/protected files. Then when you un-zip it, all protections are gone. I'm sure there's an easier way, but I don't know it. Maybe just boot up with the external drive if possible?

Uh, NTFS is a one-way street. :p

If you've got enough permissions, try taking ownership of the removable drive. Doesn't sound like it's possible though.
