Need 2 cables for raid?

I currently have 2 Seagate 15.3gig 5400 rpm hdrives that are in raid 0. They are both connected with 1 cable. If I buy each hdrive an ata66/100 cable, will it improve perfomance? By how much?

I assume you mean that you don't want the two drives connected to the same controller?
If that's what you mean it's refered to as duplexing. However I am not sure it will work with RAID 0. I have only run duplexed drives in RAID 1 with high-end SCSI drives and RAID controllers (like HP and Mylex).

Well you should run your Raid 0 with both drives on a separate channel. A cable for each of the drives this will give you more performance.
