I'm not very experienced with overclocking, but was instructed on a very simple way to OC my 2.4C to 3.0Ghz without worrying about RAM timings, voltage, or other similar complications. (The Abit IC7-G allows for OC'ing the CPU clock independently in the BIOS by using a 5:4 CPU-to-memory setting.)
However, for the short time I was OC'ing my CPU, my system started crashing, particularly while playing games (KotOR, in particular), with graphics being all screwed up with odd gridlines, low frame rate, etc. Needless to say, I stopped OC'ing my system.
So, my question is, is it necessary to OC your videocard when OC'ing your CPU? Was that what was causing the crashes?
