nec nd-3500a problem

when i play my copied dvd+r movies, the drive spins at full speeds the whole time. it is very loud and annoying. is anyone else having this problem? i'm using the 2.18 hacked firmware.

using nero drivespeed allowed me to manually adjust the read speed. is there an option 'automatically' determine the speed?

nah, i think i solved most of the problems already. the first question regarding it freezing the computer was because of powerdvd 6, it's still very buggy. second, i'm almost possitive the drive plays at full speed on dvd+r media iss because of the booktype settings.
