I guess it's available online too.

I only wish this deal had been around three weeks ago when I got my 22" Samsung 226BW (which I'm quite fond of).

In case you aren't familiar with this specific monitor - go no further than our own LCD buyer's guide (under Video) where you can hear such greats as xtknight and Zebo rant and rave about them 🙂

Great monitor - best price I've seen yet for it.

Yeah.. I saw that price and got really sad I hadn't been able to wait a week or two more. I went and saw it at Fry's in person at that time - it's beautiful.

Holy Crap, I thought newegg had a good price on it, was about to bite there. Now I have to!!

This monitor is one of the best under a thousand dollars, comparable to many that cost over a thousand dollars. You have to really see it in person to appreciate it.

I am definitely stoked that it's this cheap and at Fry's ships same day. I'm gonna bite!

This is the only decent (sub$800) new monitor out right now -- period. Everything else in the 20-23" WS range has a cheap TN film panel (most often a 6bit (claims 8bit, but get's it via HiFRC processing) panel from Chimei, like in the case of the 226bw). If you want a good 20-13" WS, you're only other choice is the Samsung 215TW (which is discontinued).

the black model just has a black base. The frame around the LCD is always that off-whitish grey. So white, black, it's about the same. Anyway, MY BIGGEST GRIPE with these monitors is that the LCD image persistencies... Pain in the ass. Meaning that the LCD will give you that "burnt in" look after hours of gaming 🙁. Also, Non-adjustable. Just slight tilt.

Actually, the black model has a black base, black backing, black speaker array, and is black on the edges, with the LCD frame a sort of charcoal gray. More like the 90GX2-BK.

re: the price

Not only is it an 8 bit panel, but note these features from its product description as well ...
