Hi, first time post so here goes...
It is quite a new monitor so I may not get much response to this, but I was wondering whether anyone had any experience or thoughts on this new NEC tft:
NEC LCD1990SXI
I'm considering it, quite pricey though. I'd be using it for graphics work mainly, but it seems to have some unique features, including the ability to turn overdrive off and on. So it appears to be quite versatile. Apparently you can connect three other sources to it too.
Also I'm not sure what breed of panel it uses.. i.e. is it a 'brand new to market' S-IPS or does it exist in any other monitors yet (that would be cheaper)?
As a graphics monitor what do you think of it as a potential investment? I understand that www.hardware.fr have just completed a comparison of 20"+ tfts, and the new generation NEC scored well on CADCAM but nothing else. This 20" NEC looks like a similar panel in that you can turn off overdrive - How similar do you think this panel will be to the 19" version?
Expect the translated version to be on www.behardware.com shortly..
I can't find any reviews for the 1990sxi yet, only ones for its predecessor, the 1980sxi (prad.de)
Look forward to any feedback..
Cheers
